sound habitat is a twenty-four hour ambient work written to accompany the listener for the duration of an entire day spent indoors.

it was composed and recorded in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, during the artist's own sheltering-in-place, with the intent of helping enrich and make bearable this uneasy isolation.

its sections correspond to the changing energies and tones of the day, from a rising harmony in the early morning hours through to a soft noisescape at night to help you sleep.

this album release was preceded by a month-long, round-the-clock stream of sound habitat on Outer Spaces, a virtual performance space co-run by andy zuliani and max ammo.
